Yin Yoga is a quiet, healing and meditative practice. In this style of yoga we slowly and gently stretch the connective tissues of the body, over time gaining more flexibility as well as increasing the range of motion and lubrication in the joints. This practice gives us the time and space to go inward and learn to reconnect with the present moment and ourselves.
Kelli Martin has developed this well rounded and experiential training. You will learn the principles and philosophy of Yin Yoga, anatomy of the physical and the energetic systems of the body, the postures of Yin Yoga, alignment of the poses and how to properly and comfortably support the body using props.
There will also be a detailed portion of the training focused on proper Reiki hand positioning, meditation and sound therapy to create the perfect Yin Yoga class. This is an experiential training for anyone who is already teaching or is looking to learn how to teach Yin Yoga, as well as students who are interested in the body and the healing practice of Yin Yoga.
